Emergency Earthquake Relief — Kunar Province, Afghanistan

In 2025, a devastating earthquake struck Kunar Province, Afghanistan, killing over 5,000 people and injuring more than 12,000 men, women, and children. Entire districts such as Noorgal and Aryet were completely destroyed — families were left homeless, hungry, and without medical care. Families affected by the earthquakes faced freezing temperatures, no proper shelter, food shortages, and a lack of clean drinking water; many lost their homes and belongings in what became a severe humanitarian crisis.

The Afghan Pashai Community in the United States, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, organized an emergency relief campaign to raise funds for shelter materials, warm clothing, food packages, clean water, blankets, and medical assistance for the most vulnerable — especially children, women, and the elderly. The campaign was shared and supported by Pashai community members across the United States and Europe.
